WhatsApp defers privacy update over client ‘confusion’ and reaction about Facebook information sharing
WhatsApp has postponed a security strategy update that created turmoil and reaction among clients over feelings of trepidation it could mean more extensive information imparting to the informing application's proprietor Facebook.
“We’ve heard from so many people how much confusion there is around our recent update. There’s been a lot of misinformation causing concern and we want to help everyone understand our principles and the facts,” WhatsApp said in a blog post over the weekend.
The updates related explicitly to highlights that permit clients to message and associate with organizations on WhatsApp. A year ago, Facebook declared that organizations utilizing WhatsApp could store and deal with their talks with clients utilizing Facebook's “secure hosting infrastructure.”
